History of RBP 1107 'Abraham's Chosen Few'
This Preceptory is encamped, in the Orange Hall, of “Tamnificarbett Rising Sons of William L.O.L.No 17,” at Carbett Road Portadown, Craigavon, Co Armagh .
It was founded on the 6th Nov 1922 the first Worshipful Master being the late Sir Knight George Simpson.----R.B.P. 1107 has strong associations with L.O.L.17, as most of it's members are drawn from it's ranks, although the Orange Lodge belongs to Lurgan District, the Black Preceptory to Portadown. See below right the picture of the first Worshipful Master of RBP 1107, the late Sir Knt George Simpson, (Seagoe), and the first Treasurer Sir Knt Richard Robinson,”

Tamnifiglasson” (circa 1922)
Worthy of note is the fact that “Joseph T, Russell” of Kilvergan, was “Lecturer” in this Preceptory 1107, from 1922, until his death in 1948, a total of 26 years.
It must be recorded that two young Sir Knight's of this Preceptory made the supreme sacrifice for their country in the Second World War, - they were of the same family,
Sir Knt, George Simpson (Pilot Officer R.A.F.) killed in action in October 22nd 1943 , and his brother, - Sir Knt, William Simpson Jun, (Irish Guardsman), also killed in action, 9 th September 1944 . (“We Will Remember Them”), they were the sons of Sir Knt, William Simpson (Sen,), and Deborah, then of Kilvergan, later of Ballinacorr.
